A man was charged with murder in the stabbing death of his father in northwest Harris County on Thursday, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A man was charged with murder in the stabbing death of his father in northwest Harris County on Thursday, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.

According to the sheriff's office, 30-year-old Jacob Sanders has been identified as the suspect in the deadly stabbing of 64-year-old Aubrey Sanders.

HCSO said deputies were called to the scene just a little after 11 a.m. to the 16700 block of Stoneside Drive.

When deputies arrived, they found the victim dead with multiple stab wounds. Deputies detained the suspect at the scene.

Authorities said they had previously responded to the home in May 2025 to a domestic disturbance call and for a mental health case.

HCSO added that the victim's 19-year-old daughter with special needs lives with him but she was not home at the time.

Authorities say that Sanders has been booked into the Harris County Jail.
